Compensation ranges anywhere from $105,000 to $125,000 base salary plus production bonus. We also offer a signing bonus and yearly "re-signing" bonuses.
In addition, we offer PTO, CE allowances and hours, health and dental insurance, group term life insurance, license, PLIT and dues reimbursement, 401k after plan terms are met and employee discounts.
We are still looking for part time or full time veterinarians.
Description
Our hospital has been serving our community since 1972. We are a 3-doctor and growing small animal practice that is independently owned and focusing on preventative health care and building lasting relationships with our clients and their pets.
Our veterinary team practices high-quality medicine, surgery and dentistry. Our newly remodeled hospital is well equipped with in hospital lab, digital x-ray and digital dental x-ray.
We are also getting a Versana Essential Vet CONSOLE Ultrasound and Sound SmartDR Digital Xray unit and table this month.
The ideal candidate will be expected to diagnose and treat our clients' pets. Our clinic specializes in dogs and cats. Your day-to-day as a Vet includes performing annuals, surgeries, treating wounds, spaying and neutering animals, dental cleanings and extractions and prescribing medicine.

Responsibilities
- Examine animals and check their health status
- Diagnose illnesses and determine the best treatment
- Dress wounds of injured animals
- Perform dental and routine soft tissue surgeries
- Spay and neuter cats and dogs as needed
- Vaccinate animals to prevent diseases
- Prescribe medication
- Advise pet owners on nutrition, preventive healthcare and general care
- Update client records
Skills
- Experience conducting various types of surgeries, vaccinations and health checks on animals
- Knowledge of medical equipment (e.g. ultrasound) and anesthesia procedures
- Problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain medical terms and conditions using simple language
- Patience and a love for animals, clients, and team members

We refer all after hour cases to a 24 / 7 local emergency hospital.
Location
Our practice is located in Kalamazoo Michigan, on the southwest side of the state, about 40 miles from the shores of Lake Michigan.
Kalamazoo is a university town with beautiful residential areas and a wide range of recreational activities. It is the home of Pfizer / Zoetis Animal Health and Stryker Corporation.
The Kalamazoo area offers a wonderful quality of life for individuals and families alike. We are about a 45 minute drive from the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan and only a couple hour's drive from Chicago and Detroit giving you easy access to the cultural and social scene of a world-class city while still living in a small town atmosphere.
