The Opportunity

We are looking for a Sr. Water / Wastewater Engineer with 15 or more years of experience to design and / or oversee projects involving provision of potable water, disposal of wastewater and sewage, or prevention of flood-related damage.

The ideal candidate for this opportunity has experience preparing planning level documents and preliminary and final design documents, managing a team of multi-discipline professionals, and overseeing field work.

Experience in client management and sales is a plus. This position requires a well-organized and versatile individual who has solid communication and interpersonal skills, is team-orientated, and possesses a strong desire to make a positive contribution to the business.

Responsibilities :

• Design of projects including development of work plans and schedules
• Maintain client relationships and identify new project leads as well as development of teams and approaches to capture work
• Write, review and critique proposals, plans, designs, or fee estimates related to water or wastewater treatment systems
• Provide technical direction or supervision to engineering professionals, engineering, or computer-aided design (CAD) technicians, or other professional and technical personnel
• Assist in the management of projects to ensure they are on schedule, within budget and meet the requirements of our clients
• Perform studies, calculations, designs and preparation of plans and reports in accordance with project requirements and engineering standards
• Conduct feasibility studies for the construction of facilities, such as water supply systems, runoff collection networks, water and wastewater treatment plants, or wastewater collection systems
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses for the construction of water supply systems, runoff collection networks, water and wastewater treatment plants, or wastewater collection systems
• Design water storage tanks or other water storage facilities
• Evaluate the operation and maintenance of water or wastewater systems to identify ways to improve their efficiency
• Market company services and develop work
• Additional responsibilities as needed

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• California Professional Engineering License (PE) required
• Minimum 15 years of practical work experience
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills including an ability to interact professionally and knowledgeably with clients
• Solid experience with the MS Office Suite
