MEDICAL LAB TECH - CORE LAB (FULL TIME)

Responsibilities The Valley Health System has expanded into an integrated health network that serves more than two million people in Southern Nevada.

Acts as a resource for Lab Assistants. Supports and assists Medical Technologists and Lead MedicalTechnologists as required.

Requires minimal to moderate supervision, (task dependent). General Supervisor must be on site. Qualifications Education : MLT(ASCP) or equivalent as defined by CLIA’88 Experience : Two years of experience as Medical Laboratory Technician.

Technical Skills : General bench tech skills required to provide coverage in all modalities License / Certification : Nevada State Licensure as Medical Laboratory Technician;

ASCP or equivalent board registration upon hire preffered.New graduates, or applicants that do not currently have a Nevada license, must obtain a Nevada State Provisional license prior to hire and must obtain a permanent license upon expiration of the provisional license.

Other : Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide high quality of patient care appropriately (specific age competent).
