American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring flexibility with schedule, a VT or compact RN license, and recent EPIC experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the Labor & Delivery unit at a Level 1 Perinatal CenterPatient care includes antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, gynecologic non-obstetric, and nursery patients12-hour night shifts with potential weekend and holiday coverageMust be able to work in nursery, labor & delivery, and postpartum settingsUses EPIC EMR system; experience within past 2 years requiredSchedule requires flexibility including the possibility of working 2 out of the 3 major holidaysNo block scheduling permittedResponsible for providing care throughout labor, delivery, nursery, and postpartum stagesMust be willing to work with a diverse patient population in a busy perinatal centerBi-weekly orientations are available on MondaysTravelers must work at least 2 out of the 3 main winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas / Christmas Eve, New Year's Day / Eve)No block scheduling for any reasonHoliday and weekend shift flexibility is requiredA current New York RN license or proof of application will be taken into consideration for scheduling\n \n Requirements\n
Active VT or compact RN license required, or commitment to apply for VT licensure within 24 hours of acceptanceAHA BLS and NRP certifications required; ACLS and STABLE preferredMinimum of 1 year recent Labor & Delivery experienceMust maintain competencies in CPR, ACLS, NRP, EMTALA, and Fetal MonitoringExperience required in caring for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecological non-obstetrical patientsReliable personal or rental vehicle required; public transportation is not accessibleAll season or snow tires are required for vehicles during November–April\n Benefits\n
