Job Details
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements, focusing on accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Collaborate with finance and department leaders to develop budgets, monitor variances, and analyze actual vs. budget results.
Provide insights on cost-saving opportunities and revenue enhancements specific to healthcare services.
Monitor and analyze revenue cycles and healthcare-related expenses, including patient service revenue, insurance reimbursements, and operational costs.
Provide actionable insights to optimize financial performance.
Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare financial regulations, including Medicare / Medicaid reporting, HIPAA standards, and other regulatory requirements.
Prepare for and support internal and external audits, including preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes, automate tasks, and improve data accuracy. Lead or participate in initiatives aimed at improving financial reporting and operational efficiency within the healthcare environment.
- Assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls, with a focus on healthcare industry standards and best practices.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a healthcare or healthcare-related organization.
- Proficiency in accounting software (, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel. Experience with healthcare financial systems and revenue cycle management is a plus.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, healthcare industry regulations, and accounting best practices.
