About The Position
Job Title : Surgical Tech Job Specialty : Pre / Post Op Surgery - Operating Room Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Day - 12x3 - 6 : 00 AM to 6 : 00 PM Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum 2 years of recent experience (within the past 6 months) License : License required for submission Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have : Experience with recovery of critical care patients Job Description : Conduct clinical profile review and participate in a phone interview with the manager.
- Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam required prior to interview with a maximum of 2 attempts.- Work in a unit with 13 Operating Room suites, 3 CVOR suites, and PreOp / PostOp with Phase 2.
- Handle cases such as Ortho, Neuro, Robotics, Laparoscopic, General Surgery, Bariatric, Cranis, DNCs, Tubals, rare Eye cases, and OB C-sections.
- Utilize EMR systems : Cerner and Surginet.- Maintain patient ratios : PACU 1 : 2, ICU Post Op 1 : 1, Isolation 1 : 1.- Participate in call duties : 2 RNs and 2 Techs on weekend once per month, 2 call evenings per month, 1 weekend call per month.
- Rotation of holidays with core staff.- Scrub color is provided.- Work within a 24 / 7 Trauma Level 1 care setting with RT and Pharmacy support available 24 / 7.
- Active OR time from 6 : 30 AM to 8 : 30 PM.- Possibility of shift cancellations by hospital with options for full hours compensation.
