We are currently hiring a full time EDO P rogram Coordinator / Therapist for Fremont Hospital!

The Emerald Program at Fremont Hospital is a specialty service of the adolescent inpatient program. A collaboration that spans the departments of Dietary Food Services, Clinical Services, and Nursing, the program offers comprehensive assessment, treatment, and post-treatment planning specifically tailored to assist adolescents struggling with eating disorders in their recovery.

The EDO P rogram Coordinator / Therapist ensures the program is operating effectively and following the guidelines set by Fremont Hospital.

The program is a multidepartment effort and while the EDO P rogram Coordinator / Therapist reports directly to the Director of Dietary and Foods services, they also maintain dotted-line reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and collaborate closely with the Director of Clinical Services (DCS).

As such, the EDO P rogram Coordinator / Therapist will schedule and chair regular meeting with DCS, CNO, and key program staff to ensure the success of the program and that it produces excellent outcomes.

The EDO P rogram Coordinator / Therapist manages resources in a cost-effective manner, participates in performance improvement efforts, and maintains professional competency and skills required for professional practice.

The EDO P rogram Coordinator / Therapist ensures active programming from registered dieticians, therapists, and mental health technicians (MHTs) are sustained 7 days per week.

The successful candidate also works with the unit manager to ensure program staff receive regular in-services on managing eating disorder patients with emphasis on mealtimes, communication do’s and don’ts, the program’s level system, and team communication.

As the lead therapist for the program, the EDO P rogram Coordinator / Therapist ensures best practices and current evidence-based therapies to treat eating disorders are followed.

This includes performing case management duties, assessment, discharge planning, reporting during treatment planning meetings, maintaining patient attendance to the prescribed treatment, ensuring documentation compliance, and following up to ensure the safety of all patients.

The EDO P rogram Coordinator / Therapist works with the interdisciplinary treatment team to provide therapy that is integrated and compatible with the patient’s program goals and objectives developing and implementing therapeutic interventions using established standards of care and practice protocols / guidelines.

The EDO P rogram Coordinator / Therapist ensures the initiation of a master treatment plan and ensures updates are consistent with the findings of initial assessments, ongoing assessments, treatment team meetings, and other documented observations.

The EDO P rogram Coordinator / Therapist facilitates groups and 1 : 1 meetings. This role is responsible for maintaining clinical collaboration with referring clinics and providers.

The EDO P rogram Coordinator / Therapist will orient families and coordinate admissions with the Intake department to ensure patients and families receive a warm welcome.

Other duties may be assigned as needed to support the hospital.

Qualifications

Education :

Master’s or doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field.

Experience :

  • Experience in assessment, family work, and treatment planning with the ability to provide skills training.
  • Familiarity with CBT, DBT, ACT and other evidence-based practices.
  • Direct clinical experience in a psychiatric, mental health setting or comparable.

Licensure :

Licensed Psychologist, or PsyD. LMFT, LCSW, LPCC. Associates considered.

Certifications :

  • CPR / AED Certification must be current and presented to Human Resources upon hire.
  • You may be required to successfully complete Fremont Hospital’s non-violent crisis prevention intervention training course within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting with preventative intervention measures.
  • You may be required to work overtime and flexible hours.

Computer / Software Programs :

Type 35+ WPM, computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), ability to learn specialized patient care software.
