Initial Review Pharmacy Technician
A company is looking for an Initial Review Pharmacy Technician (Remote).Key Responsibilities : Review patient information and make approval recommendations based on clinical criteriaConduct Program Integrity Audits and assist with documentation and implementation of communications to physiciansDetermine eligibility for medication reimbursement and escalate medical exception requests when necessaryRequired Qualifications : Active pharmacy technician licensure or registration in accordance with state requirementsMinimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience without a Bachelors degree OR 2 years of pharmacy experience with a Bachelors degree in Science, Health, Medical or related fieldSpecialty or retail pharmacy experience, previous reimbursement experience, and / or working in a health plan / health care settingExperience as Pharmacy Technician, Utilization Management or Customer Service in a high-volume, multi-functional call center environmentIn-depth knowledge of specialty injectable prescription drugs, disease states, health plan formulary management techniques and medical terminology
