The Opportunity
CareFirst is committed to excellence in patient care and customer service. We are currently seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to join our team in Cape Coral.
Responsibilities
- Utilize magnetic resonance for the purpose of detecting pathology
- Perform MRI and MRA, as directed by a clinic provider.
- Operate equipment safely
- Maintain the safety and integrity of the MRI suites
- Establish and maintain a good rapport and professional relationships with fellow employees, other departments and medical staff
- Assist other modalities, such as X-ray and front desk as needed
Education and Experience
- Knowledge of MRI quality control procedures and the ability to troubleshoot problems with equipment or exams
- ARRT RT (R)(MR) with current license Required
- Expert phlebotomist for IV contrast injections
- CPR / BLS
- Experience in a physician's office, clinic or other health care setting is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and diagnosis / procedure coding desired
- Capable of operating or learning to operate automated systems and other office equipment
- Must possess strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills'
