Special Education Teacher Needed in Covington, GA
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team in Covington, GA for the 2024-2025 school year.
Job Details :
- Position : Full-time
- Caseload : Preschool students aged 3 and 4
- Classroom Setting : Self-contained
Key Responsibilities :
- Deliver a continuum of services for preschool students.
- Focus on developing functional, adaptive, communication / language, fine / gross motor, and social skills.
- Implement a curriculum aligned with state pre-kindergarten guidelines.
- Modify instruction to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Integrate classes with pre-kindergarten andspecial education settings.
- Emphasize pre-academic and specially designed instruction.
Requirements :
- Active Georgia Special Education License.
- Preferred : Experience in a self-contained classroom setting.
- Proficient in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, parents, and students.
- Commitment to fostering ongoing progress for students.
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
