Sales Tax Senior Accountant - Phoenix, AZ
Salary : $90K to $100K plus bonus
Remote with 2 days in the office
Our client is in need of a skilled Sales Tax Senior Accountant based in Phoenix, AZ. As a Sales and Use Tax Specialist, you will play a key role in streamlining tax processes, ensuring compliance, and supporting audits and special projects.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely sales / use tax returns for multiple states
- Conduct research and resolve tax-related issues
- Evaluate tax positions on various contracts
- Manage tax exemption certificates
- Analyze and reconcile tax-related balance sheet accounts
- Assist with sales / use tax audits
- Support annual tax returns and VAT-related tasks
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure financial accuracy
- Develop strategies to enhance tax accounting processes
- Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations
Requirements :
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales & use tax
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel
- Familiarity with ERP software systems
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
