At Industrial Solutions of NY we work behind the scenes with most Mechanical and HVAC Contractors.

Our main scope of work is pump and electric motor repair; we are equipped with the proper knowledge and experience to repair any pump or electric motor regardless of make or model.

Additionally, due to our extensive experience with pump and electric motor repairs, we have developed an outstanding relationship with most manufacturers and can offer competitive pricing on replacement units.

Summary The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for achieving long-term sales growth, margins and profitability in their assigned territory / defined customer base.

Focusing on technical sales support, sales lead generation and business development.

Responsibilities will include. Responsibilities

  • Sales led generation.
  • Product and application customer training.
  • Territory and industry specific strategic planning and execution.
  • Customer relations maintenance and development.
  • Technical applications review.
  • Lead in quotations preparation and assistance with preparation
  • Cost analysis, profit maximization.
  • Vendor relations, cooperative vendor sales calls and training as needed and available.
  • Monthly reporting, directly to Supervisor.
  • Achieve the sales budget for a defined group of user customers.
  • Drive regional, corporate account business strategies and new product introductions.
  • Conduct in-plant and seminars to educate users in the use of our products and services.
  • Represents the organization in providing solutions associated with the sale and marketing of our products.
  • Previous performance must have demonstrated superior Conceptual, Technical, People, and
  • Organizational Skills plus a Strong Work Ethic. Training - Learn our products, application and the selection process, and the industries we serve.

That process will be accomplished by in-house, external training and on-the-job training. Competencies

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Must have or be capable of developing strong technical knowledge of company products.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at management and hourly maintenance levels.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process flow.
  • Ability to work under pressure and rapidly changing priorities. Travel Regular travel, including overnight is expected.

Required Education and Experience :

  • High school diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum 1 - 3 years of experience in industrial sales and / or management. Preferred Education & Experience :
