Medical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Medical Assistant -FO
Minimum of 1 year of experience required.
This is a FULL TIME / TEMP TO HIRE position requiring availability between the hours of 8 : 00 AM- 5 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday, located in Norfolk, VA (23510).
Responsibilities :
A Day in the Life of a Medical Assistant- FO
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing excellent patient care while abiding by all HIPAA laws and regulations in an outpatient clinic setting.
Your role is instrumental in the assessment process for the clinic visit which includes obtaining vitals, reconciliation of medication, rooming patients, documentation in patient charts (EHR), calling in prescriptions to the pharmacy, completing follow-up phone calls to patients, assisting the provider during the patient's visit, and any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
This position is in the heart of Norfolk, VA!
Requirements for the Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant :
- Required : At least a minimum of 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant.
- Required : Fully Vaccinated for COVID-19
- Required : Must have updated CPR
- Required : Must have updated Annual PPD
- Required : Must be able to perform tests, such as FLU and COVID testing.
- Required : Ability to pass Background Check and Drug Screen.
- Required : Must be reliable and a quick learner and can multi-task with accuracy in a hectic environment.
- Required : Strong computer skills (Micro MD-Medication, EMR, and EHR)
- Required : Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred :
Preferred : Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant
