Facilities Engineer

Our client, a global leader in aerospace and defense manufacturing, is seeking a Lead Facilities Engineer to join their Engineering group in Northwest Indiana . This is a high-priority, confidential search where you'll play a critical role upgrading a legacy facility that supports some of the most exciting industries on the planet — from aerospace to space exploration.

This role is ideal for an engineer with reliability, facilities, and CapEx project experience who's ready to be hands-on, lead critical projects, and keep a large-scale facility running at peak performance.

Lead Facilities Engineer – CapEx Projects

Location : Northwest Indiana

Compensation : $110K–$140K+ base (flexible) + 10% bonus + 9% 401k contributions

Relocation : Comprehensive package (pack / unpack, shipping, sign-on bonus, expenses, and more)

Schedule : Reliable 45–50 hour weeks with strong team support

What's the Job?

• Lead capital improvement projects, facility upgrades, and equipment installations
• Manage building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, fire protection)
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ITAR, and facility safety standards
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and drive sustainability / energy initiatives
• Review CAD layouts, coordinate contractors, and keep projects on-time and within scope
• Collaborate with production, safety, and quality teams to support facility operations
