About The Position
Weekly Pay Range - $2379 To $2643 Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 3x12-Hour Shifts (Variable : Day and Night) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 2 full years of recent independent PICU experience within the last year License : California nursing license required Certifications : BLS, PALS Must-Have : - Recent PICU experience- Willingness to float between units (CVPICU & NICU)- Experience with ventilators, multiple monitors, specifically CVP and EKG- Willingness to get the flu shot when requested Job Description : Work in a high acuity unit dealing with cases such as injury, respiratory failure, shock, multi-system failure, poisonings, near-drowning, meningitis, post-op cardiac surgical care, and neurosurgery.
- Function at the standard level of nursing practice.- Be flexible to work both day and night shifts and maintain a patient ratio of 1 : 1-2.
- Participate in a 12-hour orientation before starting clinical duties.- Complete non-billable modules prior to start, taking approximately 6-8 hours.
- Availability required to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year).- Comply with unit float and mileage reimbursement policies when working across different locations.
