Litigation Associate

Jayaram Law is seeking a highly skilled, dynamic, and experienced Litigation Associate to join our Chicago office. We have the privilege of working with some of the most cutting-edge and creative companies in the fashion, art, and tech industries, helping them navigate the complex legal landscape and protecting their intellectual property rights.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years' litigation experience, with a strong preference for IP litigation expertise.

The candidate must be barred in Illinois. If the candidate is also barred in the Central District of California, New York, or Florida, that would be a significant advantage.

Responsibilities :

• Handle a wide range of complex litigation matters, including but not limited to intellectual property disputes, and a variety of commercial litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and arguments.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Prepare and respond to discovery requests.
• Conduct depositions and assist with witness preparation.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and arbitrations.
• Collaborate with partners and senior associates to develop case strategies and provide legal advice to clients.
• Manage and prioritize multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends in the litigation field.

Qualifications :

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar in Illinois is required.
• Admission to the bar in the Central District of California, New York, or Florida is a significant plus.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in litigation, with a focus on IP litigation preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
