Registered Nurse Care Manager - Clinical Diabetes Educator; $30,000 Sign On, $15,000 Relocation, and Retention Bonus eligible

The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization, serving nearly 30,000 people living across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations from about 10 to more than 1,000.

Position Qualifications :
Minimum Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
BSN or MSN preferred.
New graduates (with relevant license-see below) may be considered.
Two (2) years experience in a clinical health setting preferred.
Background in Diabetes Education preferred.
Valid license in good standing in the State of Alaska as a Registered Professional Nurse.
Must obtain valid CDCES (Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist) certification within 2 yrs.
Preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Work in a typical office, hospital, and village clinic setting.
Requires travel to villages via small plane / sub-arctic conditions, moderate lifting of equipment, occasional long working hours.
Strong knowledge base in the field of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and public health.
Bi-lingual (Yup’ik / English) preferred.
