General Description :
Responsible for servicing and managing insurance clients and prospects by providing superior internal and external service support.
- Full-time or part-time work is available.
- This is a REMOTE ONLY position.
- 80% Personal Lines 20% Commercial Lines
- No sales are required.
- Residing in Middle Tennessee is highly preferred.
Responsibilities :
- Service client accounts independently, utilizing agency management systems, carrier websites, and online rating systems.
- Complete applications and endorsement requests,
- Process payments when applicable.
- Market accounts, both new and renewals, to appropriate insurance carriers.
- Address and solve client questions and issues.
- Maintain daily client processing functions such as endorsements, policies, audits, pending cancellations, and ID cards.
- Maintain client files accurately and organized in the agency management system, including documenting communication.
- Provide technical expertise (knowledge of insurance coverage and products, staying abreast of industry updates and changes) to new and existing clients.
Provide expertise in account development and / or identifying new exposures and problem-solving per the objectives and procedures.
- Complete the MGI New Business Process for new clients, including establishing a communication plan with the client, completing a coverage checklist, reviewing all policies for accuracy, reviewing and delivering welcome packets, and reviewing any necessary corrections with both the client and carrier.
- Manage all client pre-renewal activities, including delivering the annual insurance summary, scheduling client meetings or calls to complete the annual risk assessment, and holding client renewal meetings or calls to determine changes in exposures or client concerns with the current program or marketplace.
Deliver renewal proposals to clients, quoting additional lines and / or markets, as applicable.
- Execute policy renewals as appropriate; issue proof of insurance as needed; deliver or cancel policies as required. Maintain renewal expirations to avoid any lapse in coverage.
- Respond to underwriters questions in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management and document management systems.
- Provide directions to clients on submitting their first claims reports and facilitate prompt responses from carriers.
- Further industry knowledge through education courses intended to pursue an industry designation such as CIC, CPRIA, CPRM, CPCU, AAI, etc.
- Assist the agency owner with time management and organization.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- 2+ years experience in Personal Lines Property & Casualty Insurance or Commercial Lines and a comprehensive understanding of all Property & Casualty insurance coverages, underwriting, and rating concepts.
- Must hold a state Property & Casualty insurance license.
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.
- Stay informed about industry information, new products, legislation, coverages, and technology to continuously improve your knowledge and performance.
- Interact with others effectively by utilizing effective communication skills, cooperating purposefully, and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the company's business goals.
Compensation :
Pay will be based on industry experience.
