Machine Operator
Description :
Aerotek is looking for Machine Operators in the Groton / Pawcatuck area for an immediate job opportunity. This company manufactures various electrical cable cord products, and these operators will be responsible for the following tasks :
- Start up an extruder and make adjustments as needed to ensure a quality product
- Set gears, ratios and heats to required specifications
- Troubleshoot problems with assistance
- Use a micrometer / caliper to periodically check product running to ensure quality
Additional Skills & Qualifications :
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. of material
- Standing, bending, stretching during 12-hour shifts
- Previous extrusion operation experience is a plus
- Comfortable working overtime
