We are seeking applicants for a Senior Accountant to join our global Finance team, reporting to the Assistant Controller.
The position is mostly remote with one day a week in the Stamford, CT office.
Position Details :
- Perform monthly journal entries and account reconciliations including, but not limited to leases, fixed assets, goodwill, intangibles, accrued expenses and stock compensation
- Prepare and facilitate the calculation of revenue in accordance with ASC 606
- Assess current practices and procedures, and assist in the implementation of process and system improvements
- Assist with implementing internal controls and best practices from a control perspective
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness, including fluctuation analyses
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
- Work with external auditors and internal team to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting monthly and annually.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college of university; CPA or MBA preferred
- Targeting 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting experience
- Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Highly engaged and motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently while seeking support when needed; ability to present new ideas
- Comfort in communicating with, presenting to, and influencing senior leadership
- Ability to multi-task with exceptional project / time management and organizational skills to manage deliverables in a timely manner, with a keen attention to details
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with NetSuite preferred.
Compensation : Salary range $95k - $120k, commensurate with experience and skill; plus a performance-based bonus of 10% - 15%
