Our client, a world leader in natural products, is seeking a Facilities Manager to join their team in Piscataway, NJ. The successful candidate will lead the diagnosis and troubleshooting of complex mechanical / electrical issues, referring to blueprints, schematics, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
Key Responsibilities :
- Recommend production / process equipment or fixtures based on organizational needs.
- Perform root cause / failure analysis and develop recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Develop and manage reliability plans representing the expected life and operational conditions of equipment.
- Ensure the CMMS is accurately maintained and compliant with SOPs.
- Develop and manage equipment reliability metrics via the CMMS.
- Assist in developing and maintaining a 5-year facility plan.
- Be available on-call 24 / 7 for complex facility issues.
Project Management :
- Ensure all activities comply with site SOPs (e.g., MOCs, project close-out forms).
- Manage all aspects of project execution, including safety, risk, scope, cost, schedule, quality, and change management.
- Estimate project costs related to layout design, equipment, materials, and labor.
- Ensure project deliverables are met regarding cost, schedule, and technical scope objectives.
Job Requirements / Certifications :
- Fluency in English (written and verbal).
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 4+ years of reliability / project engineering experience.
- 4+ years of experience in GMP, Food Grade, and NEC classified areas (C1D1&2).
- 4+ years of experience reading and interpreting facilities-related design / construction drawings, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, lighting, wastewater / drain, and compressed air systems.
- 3+ years of experience in writing and executing change control / management documents, drawings, and processes.
- 4+ years of experience participating in regulatory compliance audits as an SME in facilities / reliability systems.
- 4+ years of experience with compressed air, dust collection / vacuum, HVAC systems, water systems, boilers, refrigeration, environmentally controlled storage rooms, chemical storage tanks, mixers, pumps, process sensors (temperature, level, flow, pH, etc.
and other facility infrastructure systems (e.g., building management systems).
- 4+ years of experience with a computerized maintenance management system (eMAINT preferred).
- 2+ years of experience with risk analysis tools / techniques, risk-based inspections, and ASME / NFPA code.
Pay and Schedule :
- Monday to Friday
- 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM
- $90,000 to $120,000 per year
