The Lead Pharmacy Technician will support the pharmacy department by guiding daily pharmacy technician operations and ensure other pharmacy technicians have the resources and training necessary to perform their jobs effectively.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required :
- High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and / or GED equivalent programs.
- Minimum of 4 years of pharmacy experience within the workplace setting (i.e. Hospital, Ambulatory, Retail, Long-Term Care) or a minimum of 2 years of experience within the workplace setting(i.
e. Hospital, Ambulatory, Retail, Long-Term Care) along with a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in the United States.
- Proficient in the duties of a Pharmacy Technician
- Effective oral and written English communication.
- Strong ability to multitask.
- Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with others.
- Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and / or Google Suite platforms.
Licenses and Certifications Required :
- Pharmacy Technician License.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) with the following exceptions :
- Hired prior to January 2024
Licenses and Certifications Preferred :
Advanced Pharmacy Technician Certification - PTCB.
