We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at our distribution center. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating a lift truck to move, locate, stack, and count merchandise.
Your role is crucial in ensuring the efficient flow of products within the warehouse.
Duties :
- Safely operate a forklift to move materials and products throughout the warehouse
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift or other heavy equipment
- Stack and organize products in designated areas
- Perform routine maintenance on the forklift and other equipment
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment
- Assist with inventory control by accurately counting and recording products
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisor and team members to meet production goals
- Utilize warehouse management system to track inventory and complete tasks
Experience :
- Previous experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or distribution center setting
- Proficient in operating heavy equipment, specifically forklifts
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance on equipment
- Familiarity with order picking processes and procedures
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
Skills :
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate product placement and inventory counts
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
