The Amazon Robotics Global Edge Compute team owns a cutting-edge initiative at the forefront of Amazon's robotics and automation efforts.

We are building a groundbreaking platform to manage 1.5 million devices across 4,000 locations worldwide, enabling Amazon to revolutionize its logistics and fulfillment operations.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will lead cross-functional teams to deliver a modern, flexible, pre-production development platform, enabling developers to recreate our entire platform or any part for testing and development.

This platform will allow customers to validate new OS and software builds safely before releasing to production.

Key job responsibilities

  • Drive the planning, execution, and delivery of the Infrastructure Automation and Validation Platform across multiple engineering teams.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize features, and define project roadmaps.
  • Manage project schedules, risks, dependencies, and resource allocations to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Facilitate effective communication and alignment across teams, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Implement agile methodologies, processes, and tools to streamline project execution and promote continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in technical product or program management
  • 7+ years of experience in technical program / project management, with a focus on software development and cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles, agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in project management tools, processes, and techniques (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Agile / Scrum).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with robotic systems, industrial automation platforms, or edge computing architectures.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing services and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., AWS, Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Knowledge of computer networking (routers, switches, and related technologies).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and continuous integration / deployment (CI / CD) pipelines.
  • Background in software engineering or site reliability engineering (SRE).
