The Engineering Lab Technician provides critical engineering support for Elemental LED's award-winning portfolio of lighting products, dimmers, and drivers.

The position primarily involves a mix of electrical, mechanical, and photometric testing utilizing computer-controlled instrumentation.

Challenge Yourself The Specifics :

• Assembly and testing of LED-based lighting systems including linear light strips, power supplies, lighting controllers, channels, lenses, connectors, and junction boxes
• Use lab equipment including computers, digital oscilloscopes, precision meters, and power supplies required to perform testing duties
• Characterize and understand electrical input and output relationships between controllers, driver / power supplies, and LED lighting products
• Prepare equipment and lighting system components for testing
• Perform functional and photometric / radiometric tests of LED-based lighting systems
• Perform basic thermal testing of Lighting systems and components
• Record testing data and complete Test Reports
• Perform other duties as assigned

You Have a Unique Combination of Skills, Talents and Mindset, Including Many of the Following :

• Associate's degree, with an emphasis in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with an electronics background, or related experience
• Experience working with Linear LED lighting and lighting components preferred
• Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to provide information across multiple groups in the Company including Engineering, Marketing, and Sales
• Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to work independently
• Computer proficient with knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word / Excel)
• Knowledge of analog, digital, and high-voltage circuitry
• Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 25 pounds
• Ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, kneel and reach to perform work for extended periods of time
