We are the largest in-stock retailer of flooring products in the state. We are looking for a driven and motivated Retail Sales Consultant who likes building relationships and continues to expand our business in house.

Full Time Position.

Salary to be determined based on experience of candidate.

Hours : M / W / F / S 8 : 30-5 : 30, T / Th 8 : 30-7. TBD-a day off during the weekday.

Requirements for this position The basic function of the Floor Covering Consultant of Jabaras Carpet Outlet is to promote the sales of floor covering products carpet, vinyl, ceramic, wood, underlayment, vinyl tile, etc.

flooring product installation, accessories, and supplies including delivery to existing and new customers.

• Must have extensive knowledge of various manufacturers and suppliers of flooring products & supplies including their advantages and disadvantages.
• Must have knowledge of competitors and the materials and items that they sell, as well as their pricing.
• Must be an outgoing individual who is comfortable meeting new people and being in unfamiliar situations. Must be the type of person who can put others at their ease and inspire trust.
• Must be computer literate and have the ability to learn industry software(s) used to complete sales.
• Must be able to meet individual sales goals.
• To solicit new and past customers.
• Ensures he / she maintains adequate records of all flooring bids and leads, and follows up with these customers and leads on a timely basis.
• Must be able to comprehend and perform business math calculations necessary to accurately write sales contracts and calculate Gross Profit Margins and related fees.

Must be able to communicate fluently verbally and in writing in English to interact with customers, and co-workers. Must be organized and able to manage time effectively.

• Must have excellent phone communication skills.
• Must have the ability to deal with customers who may be irate.
• It is necessary for this person to be committed to the mission of the Jabaras.
• Must have a full range of body movements including use of hands to finger, walking, sitting, climbing stars and standing or feel objects and peripherals;

and bending, reaching, and crouching. Must have command of these senses : sight, dexterity and duration, hearing, touch, and smell.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to distinguish colors.

Valid State of Kansas Drivers License and must be insurable. A certification course and / or safety training class in fork-lift operations may be required in order to operate and maneuver flooring equipment.

Must be able to lift 60 pounds.

To perform other duties as required by the position or as directed by the Manager.

Minimum education and experience requirement :

• A High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• Any continued education in Sales & Marketing and / or retail sales.
• Three years experience in flooring sales experience and installation service or related industry.
• Familiar with RFMS Preferred education and experience.
• Six years experience of flooring sales experience and installation services. Ideally, this business was located in the nearby region.
• Experience in outside sales.
• Associates Degree.
• Expert in RFMS.
