If selected for this role, you would be associated with Baylor Scott & White, meaning you would not be directly employed by Baylor Scott & White but would provide services to Baylor Scott & White's patients while being an employee of Select Medical.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLEEvaluates, treats and monitors patient. Modifies therapy program and goals.Performs thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner.

Enters charges accurately.Communicates effectively with patients and families, departmental coworkers and members of the medical care team.

Provides education to patients, family and staff.Supervises ancillary staff, students and volunteers.Advances clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review and implementation of evidence-based practice.

Imparts knowledge to develop the clinical skills of collogues. Adheres to organizational, national and state regulatory guidelines.

Maintains awareness of system goals. Aligns personal goals and work activities to uphold or impact the system goals.KEY SUCCESS FACTORSMust possess problem solving skills at a level necessary to accomplish the job.

Must possess good communication skills and be able to relate professionally and positively to patients, patient's family members and facility staff.

Possesses proficient computer knowledge; operates multiple computer systems and standard Rehabilitation equipment.High attention to detail in fast paced and dynamic environment.

Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a high level of productivity.QUALIFICATIONS- EDUCATION - Graduate of Accredited Occupational Therapy Program- EXPERIENCE - Acute Care experience preferred - CERTIFICATION / LICENSE / REGISTRATION - Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) Basic Life Support (BLS)Description for Job SUMMARYThe Occupational Therapist plans, organizes and provides professional services in restorative, functional and preventative therapeutic programs to patients.

Clinical practice includes evaluation and occupational therapy treatment planning to facilitate rehabilitation of the mental, physical or emotional person with a disability.
