Genesis Lifestyle Medicine, the leader in medical weight loss, hormone therapy, sexual wellness, aesthetics and patient care, is looking for part time Medical Assistants (MA).
This posting is for the Green Hills location.
DESCRIPTION : The successful applicant will serve as an assistant to the medical practitioner of our medically-supervised program, a position that involves developing one-on-one relationships with our patients.
The person we seek will be bilingual (a plus, but not required), outgoing, friendly, sensible, health and fitness-focused and compassionate and will serve as a positive mentor for patients determined to achieve a healthy lifestyle.
This is definitely a hands-on position which includes weekly weigh-ins, vitamin injections, phlebotomy, assisting in procedures as well as administrative paperwork, scheduling and follow-ups.
A positive, can-do attitude is important. Medical assistant license or Accredited Medical Assisting diploma is required.
Candidates for this Medical Assistant position must be able to perform the following tasks :
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Professional appearance and outgoing, easy-going personality
- Great customer service
- Perform basic laboratory tests
- Take vitals and patient history
- Phlebotomy skills
- Perform injections
- Instruct patients about medication, treatment procedure and special diets
- Prepare patients for examination and administer medications as directed by the medical provider
- Assist medical provider during procedures
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
- Update and file patient medical records
- Perform both administrative (front office) and clinical (back office) duties.
- Computer literacy and ability to learn scheduling software / EMR
- Ability to multi-task and work in a busy environment with minimal supervision
- IV-experience / certification is a plus
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred (but not required)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to skillfully interact with our medical practitioners, our clients and other staff members
Office hours are currently Monday and Tuesday 9-7pm, Thursday 9-5pm.
