About The Position
Job Title : Radiologic Technologist Job Specialty : Radiology Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8-Hour Nights, 11 PM - 7 AM Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum 1 year;
2 years imaging-related experience preferred License : Active Radiologic Technologist License Certifications : - ARRT (R) Radiography Registration through The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Basic Life Support Certification Must-Have : - Associate's degree in Radiology- Demonstrated clinical competency in radiology- Strong written and verbal communication skills- Ability to work independently and exercise judgment- Ability to handle stressful situations professionally- Compassionate patient care Job Description : Perform radiologic procedures with all x-ray equipment as requested by a physician.
- Introduce self to patients and explain exams fully before starting.- Obtain proper patient history, including previous allergic reactions, allergies, menstrual history, and other relevant clinical information.
- Position the patient using proper techniques to minimize radiation exposure, using shielding, collimation, and immobilization devices as needed.
- Inform patients of any delays exceeding 15 minutes from the scheduled appointment time.- Keep work areas clean and stocked;
check emergency kits, oxygen, and suction.- Report low supplies and replace any used supplies immediately after a procedure.
- Learn and practice sterile techniques for procedures and assist radiologists during fluoroscopy and special procedures.
- Process patients through hospital and radiology information systems, and utilize the PACS system properly.- Review bulletin boards and mailboxes daily for updates, new policies, and general information.
