Leading manufacturer seeks industrial engineer
Introduce and drive lean manufacturing processes in the business.

What the person must be able to do :
This role is in the South African manufacturing industry. All duties would take place in this context.
- Setup continuous improvement methodology in the business
- Setup quality metrics and monitoring systems
- Implement TQM processes
- Drive Lean, Continuous Improvement and right first time Initiatives
- Reduce defect rates and defect causes
- Improve quality while reducing manufacturing costs
- Drive quality as a culture throughout the business
Key Job Deliverables (First 6-12 Months) :
Driving significant Improvements in EfficiencyImplement existing efficiency improvement plansIntroduce new improvement plans to complement existing plansIntroduce new ideas on how the business can be more effective
Background work experience
- 5+ years experience in the Lean Manufacturing, TQM and similar philosophies. Specifically applied to manufacturing
- Degree in Industrial Engineering or Quality (BSC or Btech)
- Proven track record of efficiency improvements, cost saving and quality enhancement (we will check references)

Reports to : Plant Manager Location : Eastern Cape Salary : Market Related. In the Range of R40K to R60K per month. More senior candidates can also apply.
Negotiable for exceptional candidates.
