We are looking for Machine Operators - 1st Shift who are willing to learn, motivated and work well in a fast-paced environment for our Des Plaines, IL facility.
Job Summary : First-Shift Machine Operators use production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion.
Reports directly to the first-shift supervisor.
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Operate various manufacturing equipment including computer-controlled (CNC) machines, manual drill presses, automatic saws, centerless grinder, etc.
- Make adjustments to machine settings as required
- Transport work-in-process between production cells
- Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
- Inspect parts with measuring tools and check output to spot any machine related mistakes or flaws
- Willingness to learn machine set ups to start a production cycle
- Bring production-related problems to the attention of the supervisor
Job Requirements :
The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in a related field
- Mechanical Inclination
- Communicates well with others
- Comfortable using basic measuring equipment (i.e. rulers, calipers, etc.)
- Detail-oriented
