Join our team as a Reach Truck / Forklift Operator on the bustling second shift at a leading company in Bolingbrook. This role is crucial for efficiently managing the movement and storage of materials within our facility.
Operating from 2 : 00 PM to 10 : 30 PM, you'll play a key part in ensuring our production lines are never short of necessary materials. Activities
- Safely operate forklifts and manual lifting devices to transport materials to production areas, storage locations, and loading docks.
- Load and unload materials manually or with mechanical assistance from pallets, skids, and other transport vehicles, ensuring precision and safety.
- Organize and distribute inventory using a first-in, first-out methodology to maintain production flow.
- Utilize RF scanners to track material movement and inventory levels, ensuring accuracy in stock placement and quantity.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment, manage maintenance needs, and handle battery charging / filling.
- Coordinate with production to ensure all necessary materials are available and order materials as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with powered industrial vehicles, with a clear understanding of forklift operations and safety.
- At least 2 years of dedicated experience operating a Reach Truck.
- Demonstrated reliability in attendance and punctuality.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality results and maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Fluent in English.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and perform manual and mechanical loading and unloading tasks.
- Must be able to safely lift and maneuver heavy materials consistent with industry standards.
