What You’ll Be Doing

This role sits within our Commerce, Growth and Identity (CGI) organization three critical areas at Disney that will help transform our business.

As a Manager of Product Management on the Identity Product team, you will manage a team of Product Managers and define the strategy for building a scalable privacy infrastructure.

The Privacy & Compliance Product team is responsible for unifying consumer privacy preferences across all of Disney. Our goal is to protect consumer privacy and allow consumers to manage their data through seamless experiences.

Responsibilities

Establish the vision and strategy for a unified approach to Privacy & Compliance

Be a trusted expert on consumer privacy and shape the product direction we take in this area

Guide the work of your team, providing mentorship and coaching to your product team

Collaborate and coordinate with Design, Engineering, Legal, and Analytics to identify areas of investment

Partner with other stakeholders across Disney, including other Product teams, to streamline system integrations and enhance existing business processes

Maintain your roadmap and provide frequent updates on delivery timelines and prioritization to internal stakeholders, managing both short-term needs and long-term strategy

Communicate regularly with product and business stakeholders on Privacy & Compliance efforts

Fill in gaps across roles and functions as needed, bringing your adaptive problem solving

Basic Qualifications

You have 8+ years of product management experience, ideally in direct-to-consumer products

You have a Bachelor's degree and / or equivalent work experience

You have a deep understanding of how to build scalable privacy & compliance infrastructure to support consumer privacy laws

You have managed a portfolio of projects and initiatives and are adept at juggling competing priorities

You have an ability to make quick decisions to solve complex technical and operational challenges

You inspire, motivate, and coach other product managers

You communicate exceptionally well from small group discussions to large-scale presentations with senior leaders to help drive clarity and alignment through all levels of the organization for both technical and non-technical audiences

You are an effective collaborator at heart

You embrace user-centered design principles and data-informed decision making

You bring a strong bias for action and get it done attitude

The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica, CA is $164,500 $220,600 per year, in San Francisco is $180,000 - $241,600 and in NYC and Seattle is $172,300 - $231,100 per year based on a 40 hour work week.

The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

A bonus and / or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
