Company DescriptionPASP (Post-Acute Specialty Program) is a 22-bed unit that provides an environment for adult patients requiring care beyond the acute phase.

PASP has a team of dedicated physicians, RNs, LPNs, Patient Care Technicians, Rehabilitation and Respiratory Therapists, Dietitians, Wound Care and other health care practitioners that provide individualized, around-the-clock patient care.

This care team opens a wide variety of doors to learning and working in conjunction with a multi-disciplinary group. We care for a wide-variety of patients with many conditions including wounds, infectious diseases, organ failure, vascular disease, post-surgical complications, multi-system disease, trach / vents and more.

The majority of the staff have been employed on this unit for greater than 10 years and consider each other family. We invite you to explore our unit and get to know us as a team.

Located in Baltimore’s cultural center near the historic Mount Vernon neighborhood, UMMC Midtown Campus is a 180-bed, community teaching hospital with a focus on helping people manage chronic diseases, including diabetes, hypertension, pulmonary conditions, and infectious diseases.

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a senior level RN with experience in wound care. This role will give an opportunity to lead a team of RNs and LPNs.

An ideal candidate will have experience in wound care and a wound care certificate. Full-time (3-12 / hr. shifts)Days 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM$20,000 sign-on bonus!! Understands and follows policies and protocols while helping other staff utilize these resources effectively.

Performs and assists others in the completion of : core measures, unit based / annual competencies, regulatory requirements, quality measures, service excellence, and education.

Functions as a unit leader through charge, precepting, and / or mentoring. Anticipates and manages issues that arise during shifts and related to ongoing practice.

Assist others to perform assessments and reassessments, as appropriate for the patient’s needs, collecting data from all sources to assist with formulating a nursing diagnosis.

Develops and assist others to develop an individualized Plan of Care, based on the patient’s assessment, with mutual, realistic and measurable goals and documents this thoroughly in the patient’s record.

Coordinates and directs available resources and personnel in developing and following the Plan of Care.QualificationsLicensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligible to practice due to Compact state agreements outlined through the MD Board of Nursing, is requiredBSN or Conferred BSN required.
