We are seeking commercial laundry equipment experienced candidates for a Field Service Technician role with a growing company that manufacturers, sells, and services industrial laundry equipment for linen service or uniform service plant clients in the United States and Canada.

INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED*

COMMERCIAL LAUNDRY EQUIPMENT EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED

Location : Remote, anywhere in the USA

Travel : Travel Monday through Friday most weeks

Job Summary :

As a Field Service Technician with our client, a leading provider of industrial equipment for commercial laundry facilities, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment at customer establishments, providing technical assistance, and supporting other service initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Provide technical assistance to customers, sales managers, and engineering staff.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and tune equipment in the field, at customer locations.
  • Train customer personnel in equipment operation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Repair worn or defective equipment in customer plants.
  • Support incoming calls from customers and field service personnel.
  • Reassure concerned customers and resolve problems effectively.
  • Review blueprints and observe machine layout in manufacturer's plant to understand machine operation and plant processes.
  • Consult with leadership to resolve machine design problems and avoid installation issues.
  • Conduct trial runs at customer establishments to ensure quality and production meet specifications.
  • Obtain client signoff for equipment acceptance on new installations.
  • Answer customer help desk calls when not scheduled in the field.

Requirements :

  • 2+ years experience in an industrial plant maintenance or equipment sector.
  • Commercial laundry equipment experience is preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude with additional strengths in pneumatics, hydraulics, electricity, controls and computers
  • Ability to read electronic schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Experience in plumbing, sheet metal, rigging, electrical / structural work
  • Proficiency with PLC-controlled equipment is preferred.
  • Ability to Travel - 100% of the year (weekdays) and sometimes on short notice
  • Clean Driver's License
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Lots of face to face customer service responsibility in this role.
