Project Engineer

PROJECT ENGINEER

Primary Function :

Provides technical, quality control and administrative support to Superintendents, and Project Managers on job sites. Reports to Project Managers or Deputy PM

Location : Ohio, Cuyahoga County (on site).

Activities and Responsibilities :

• Ensure that all TREVIICOS and OSHA safety regulations are followed and enforced.
• Ensure all work follows TREVIICOS Quality Control Manual, Approved Submittals and Work Plans.
• Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedule.
• Provide technical support for construction effort including participation in construction planning and design; interpretation of design;

application of construction methods; resolution and documentation of design conflicts; constructability reviews, etc.

• Develop, implement, and administer project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents.
• Prepare and manage production records and quality control records.
• Research and resolve drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interferences, and errors.
• Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work.
• Order materials, write purchase orders, and track inventory.
• Assist in preparation of change order documentation and claim analysis.
• Interface all on-site departments as required to resolve problems, ensure quality of construction, etc. in support of overall project schedule.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience

• 4-year degree, preferably in Civil Engineering or equivalent technical training and related experience.
• Minimum of 3-4 years similar construction engineering experience.
• Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, etc., plus an in-depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional units required.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook and knowledge of CAD
• Converse effectively using both verbal and written communication.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills plus demonstrated ability to manage a team of varied disciplines.
• Make decisions and assume accountability.
• Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and organizational skills.
• Thorough and systematic, able to effectively manage time and meet deadlines.
• Able to work in a dynamic environment.
