Responsibilities :
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility.
- Review and appeal denied claims as necessary.
- Follow up on unpaid claims and overdue accounts.
- Maintain patient billing records and ensure accuracy of billing information.
- Generate patient statements and handle patient inquiries regarding billing issues.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Stay current with healthcare regulations and insurance guidelines.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or similar role.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, coding procedures (ICD-10, CPT), and insurance practices.
- Familiarity with billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in Medical Billing and Coding is preferred.
