A law firm is currently seeking an Insurance and Reinsurance Associate Attorney for their Philadelphia office with 3-5 years of insurance coverage and commercial litigation experience.
The attorney will play a crucial role in handling insurance coverage issues under professional liability, general liability, and directors' and officers' insurance policies.
The role also involves extensive civil litigation experience, including drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, managing all facets of discovery, conducting discovery motion practice, participating in depositions, and making court appearances (commensurate with experience level).
Preferred qualifications include experience with business development, client management, and independent case management.
Excellent academic credentials and superior research and writing abilities are essential.
Duties :
- Handle insurance coverage issues under professional liability, general liability, and directors' and officers insurance policies.
- Engage in extensive civil litigation, including drafting pleadings and dispositive motions.
- Manage all facets of discovery and discovery motion practice.
- Conduct depositions and make court appearances (commensurate with experience level).
- Participate in business development and client management.
- Independently manage cases.
Requirements :
- 3-5 years of insurance coverage and commercial litigation experience.
- Understanding of insurance coverage issues.
- Extensive civil litigation experience.
- Experience with drafting pleadings and dispositive motions.
- Familiarity with all facets of discovery and discovery motion practice.
- Deposition experience and court appearances (commensurate with experience level).
- Preferred experience with business development and client management.
Education : Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications : Bar admission in the state of practice.
