Oversight & Control Analyst
What is the position?
The role of the Oversight & Control Analyst is to support the wealth management team by monitoring and managing metric and control data.
You will recommend and implement automation solutions to improve control processes, supporting the team's goal of managing compliance and risk.
What are the responsibilities?
As a Oversight & Control Analyst, you will :
- Analyze key insights from various WMS teams to ensure compliance with audit standards, highlighting potential financial risks to customers and the organization and reporting exceptions and violations.
- Evaluate and optimize oversight processes to enhance efficiency, reduce manual tasks, and minimize financial risks.
- Track and assess proposed changes to internal systems.
- Assist with policy development and documentation.
- Contribute to and maintain the development of requirements.
- Provide recommendations to management for improving control reconciliations.
- Create data extraction methods and reporting tools using available systems for accurate data manipulation and reporting.
- Lead training initiatives for current team members.
- Complete additional responsibilities as required.
What are the requirements?
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Accounting, or related field
- 4+ years accounting or operations experience preferred (emphasis on data manipulation / technical efficiencies)
- Strong understanding of securities & Wealth Management accounting systems
- Knowledge of accounting practices / principles (reconciliation, trust accounting, bond accounting preferred)
- PC & software application skills (create macros, write extracts, integrate worksheets, etc.)
- Training skills
- Analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
