Position summary
The Associate Director, Worldwide (WW) Medical Affairs, Rheumatology is a core member of the WW Medical Rheumatology team and Psoriatic Arthritis Launch team.
This individual will play a key role in the development of the global launch strategy for psoriatic arthritis including a deep focus on medical education and congress initiatives.
This individual will report to the Senior Director, Worldwide Medical, Psoriatic Arthritis Lead and support planning, contracting, and logistics for critical team activities.
Key responsibilities :
Therapeutic Area : Rheumatology, General Rheumatology, Psoriatic Arthritis
Lead the development and achievement of the worldwide medical education strategy, objectives, and tactical plan including traditional, and novel initiatives.
Lead the development and achievement of the worldwide congress strategy, objectives, and tactical plan including exhibits, symposia, expert engagement, and other activities.
Identify and seek input from external experts that informs strategic decisions and improves educational outcomes.
Lead the planning, contracting, and coordination for general rheumatology and psoriatic arthritis related expert engagement.
Lead internal knowledge transfer from HQ to regions / markets / field teams via scientific narratives, lexicon, and training.
Update and support the BMS (Bristol Myers Squibb) markets in the preparation of pre / post launch medical education plans
Collaborate with key internal stakeholders in the development and execution of medical strategies
Partner with the Customer Engagement Hub to execute all contracting and logistical support for medical events
Build, forecast, track, and adjust the medical budget as needed
Provide Medical input / perspective at key forums
Degree Requirements
Advanced, scientific or medical degree; eg PharmD, PhD, MD, DO, NP, PA
Experience Requirements
Strong scientific or clinical background. 3-5+ years of industry experience in Medical Affairs or other relevant functions.
Therapeutic area experience in immunology or rheumatology preferred.

Ability to interpret and translate complex scientific information to simple medical affairs strategies and communications
Core medical affairs competencies highly preferred; eg execution of advisory boards, medical education, medical strategy
Travel Required (nature and frequency).
International travel required, up to 20%
