job_description.job_card.job_descriptionSupport for road trips and drive cell testing will be required. Two years of automotive industry experience including calibration development for embedded controls Experience with Matlab / Simulink / C / C++ or Vector CAN ape Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills required Master of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent) from an ABET accredited university Experience with Vector tools - CAN ape, Canoe Experience with version control repositories (GIT / SVN) Experience root causing issues at the model in loop (MIL), software in loop (SIL), hardware in loop (HIL) and vehicle level Knowledge of vehicle serial data communications (CAN, LIN) Experience using proactive quality tools (Design for Six Sigma) Experience using reactive quality tools (Kepner-Tregoe / Shainin) Self-starter and motivated to produce results Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering (or equivalent) from an ABET accredited university
Responsibilities
- Development of climate comfort control calibrations for the HVAC and heated seat systems.
- Duties include managing the calibration activities for the development, testing and release to production of in-house software calibrations that meet vehicle and system level functional objectives.
- Duties also include developing new software control strategies and requirements along with addressing issues identified in the current software and calibrations.
- Engineer will work with a global team of software engineers, validation engineers, release engineers, systems engineers and hardware suppliers to meet program deliverables and milestones.
