We are hiring! Airgas is hiring for a Fleet Maintenance Manager for the Central Zone.

Key Details :

Locations : Anywhere near our terminal sites. Relocation provided.

Travel requirement as much as 80%

Salary : $80,000 to $100,000 annually

Reports to : Director of Central Zone Operations

Responsibilities :

The Fleet Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of fleet assets. Responsibilities include :

• Act as a SME within the Maintenance field when working with people within different regions or organizations.
• Drive continuous improvement throughout the business to include safety, customer service, & efficiency KPIs.
• Contribute to the safe, reliable and efficient operation of Fleet Assets by managing and facilitating fleet audits of Terminals against established Maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
• Coordinate and complete equipment audits through the course of the year, and keep records of those audits for future reference.
• Interact with vendors to coordinate parts and operating component sourcing, refurb / repair diagnostics, assist with vendor negotiations, pricing, service and warranty repairs.
• Meet or exceed all Airgas safety standards, policies and practices at all times.
• Coordinate local shop mechanic scheduling with Terminal Managers.
• Assist in on-boarding and training of new hires and managing mechanics' continuous training.
• Observe mechanics working during site visits and recertify mechanics as needed.
• Support the Zone Director and Fleet Management Director and other Maintenance teams to achieve Airgas KPIs, goals, and objectives.

Are you a MATCH?

Required Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 80% travel is possible and the ability to travel on short notice is required
• 5 years experience in fleet operations
• Ability to read and compose Excel spreadsheets
• Knowledge of DOT, OSHA and other safety organization standards
• Knowledge of PPE and MSDS postings
• Proficiency in Trailer / Tractor PMI 001 (Dry) and 002 (Wet) and associated documentation.
• Proficiency in cryogenic pumps-maintenance and repair

Preferred Qualifications :

• 5 years experience in industrial gases industry
• Class A CDL w / Hazardous Material Endorsement
