STS Technical Services is hiring Aircraft Structures Mechanics in Tucson, Arizona.Position Overview : Comply with environmental health / safety policies / procedures, participate in 5-S activities and perform work in a safe and timely manner.
Remove / install aircraft components as requiredFabricate and or modify structural modifications on aircraft partsPerform minor structural repairs on composite components either attached or detachedAssist in conducting hidden damage inspection of aircraft structuresAssist with complex structural repairs either on or off aircraftOperate ground support equipment if requiredAssist with aircraft component repairPerform mechanical / electrical removals and installations as requiredMay assist with maintenance at off-site locationsAssist in wing removal as requiredInspect confined areas of airframeAssist in designing, modifying and welding metal fixtures as requiredAssist in providing time estimates as requiredBasic Qualifications : Minimum of 1 year of structural sheet metal repair / modification experience or substantiated similar experienceMinimum of 1 year of corporate / commercial jet experienceA&P license OR A license is preferredAble to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawingsAbility to effectively communicate in English (verbal & written) aircraft statusOwn tools with the ability to demonstrate inventory & control of toolsComfortable with shift work (12 hours shifts, overnights, weekends, holidays), including nonscheduled overtimeEnjoy working on commercial aircraft, growing professionally and being part of a team passionate about CRJs.
