Trader Senior - Fixed Income - City National Rochdale

TRADER SENIOR - FIXED INCOME WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? This position is responsible for executing fixed income transactions by gathering relevant market information, performing market analysis, and leveraging broker / dealer relationships.

This includes detailed market research and analyzing market conditions to provide best execution across the curve and across a variety of security structures including government, corporate, municipal, and securitized markets.

The role will require communication between the portfolio management team and will work to improve execution to minimize trading costs.

Wealth Management Division : City National Rochdale As a member of City National Rochdale, the company's Wealth Management group, you will provide white-glove service focused on intelligently personalized portfolio management for high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutions.

What you will do Trade execution across fixed income markets through multiple channels including electronic marketplaces such as MarketAxess and Tradeweb.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with broker dealer community. Continuously monitor the market conditions and remain updated on the current market trends and prepare relevant reports.

Provide insight to trends impacting the firm’s fixed income strategies and provide relevant feedback to analysts and portfolio managers based on the market developments.

Perform back and middle office work, prepare analysis on the potential for entering new markets and to ensure all trading activities are carried out efficiently by adhering to the rules and regulations of the company.

Proficient with the use of advanced statistical analysis software and capabilities (fluency in at least two of the following : SAS, R, Python, SQL, Salesforce) Must-Have* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent 10 years of Fixed Income trading experience with demonstrated experience across the curve in both investment grade and high yield segments of the market FINRA Series 7 : General Securities Rep Skills and Knowledge Degree in a quantitative field (e.

g., Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Information Systems, etc.) Proficient with the use of statistical analysis software and capabilities, programming experience a plus Proficient in quantitative strategies and modeling Well-versed in capital market theories and asset pricing models Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must demonstrate a methodical, disciplined approach to their work self-motivation to develop product knowledge Compensation Starting base salary : $101,231 - $172,355 per year.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and / or commissions.
