Senior Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a reputable client in the Indianapolis, IN area to identify a Senior Accountant to join the team, playing a key role in contributing to the organizations continued success.

Position Overview : We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions.

The ideal candidate will offer the ability to ensure accuracy and efficiency while adhering to established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities :

Oversee the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Perform variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer invoicing.

Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.

Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.

Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

5+ years of progressive experience in accounting.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles.

Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
