The base pay range for this position is $92,500 -$228,600.

Position description
The Schools of Medicine and Biological Sciences at UC San Diego are committed to academic excellence, and to enhancing access, inclusion, and success of our diverse faculty, staff, and students are recruiting the Brody Endowed Chair in Circadian Biology and Medicine.
The ideal candidate will also demonstrate an interest in serving in a leadership role in the Center for Circadian Biology and, depending on qualifications and experience, may also be considered as its director.
The ideal candidate will also demonstrate commitment in supporting equity, diversity, and inclusion in health informatics.
The academic appointment is expected to be as Associate or Full Professor level in the School of Biological Sciences and / or School of Medicine.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications. The selected candidate will receive a competitive startup package to support salary and research programs.
Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
Candidates must have a health sciences doctoral degree (MD, MD / PhD, PhD, DO, PharmD, DrPH, etc.), advanced clinical or postdoctoral training, and demonstrated experience in one or more areas of circadian biology research, which may include aspects of sleep.
Candidates must also have experience in pre-clinical or clinical time-series data management and / or evaluation, and in the assembly and oversight of interdisciplinary teams, ideally with clinical oversight.
Preferred qualifications
Experience with translational application of circadian data within a clinical setting is preferred.
