Job Description
The role of Part-time Accounts Payable (AP) Agent will assist the Accounting Department in accounts payable operations to ensure delivery of quality accounting services in accordance with the department’s and Expeditors requirements.
On-site position of 20 hours a week, flexible within the hours and days of Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
Major Responsibilities
- Enter vender invoices into A / P system
- Review vendor statements and action aging / outstanding invoices
- Reconcile and resolve problem invoices
- Build key relationships with vendors in order to quickly resolve invoice issues
- Work with other departments on invoice questions and disputes with vendors
- Learn company systems to look up information on shipments and invoices
- Support Accounting Department with miscellaneous projects and assignments
- Ensure communication with local branches
- Manage accounting department email inbox
Qualifications
Qualifications :
- MS Office knowledge, including Excel, Skype for Business, and Outlook skills
- Advanced organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects
- Strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
Preferred but not required :
- One year of relevant experience in Public Accounting and / or industry
- Excellent organization skills and detailed-oriented
- Motivated self-starter and work with urgency
