2024-25 SY SUBSTITUTE PARAEDUCATOR

Puyallup School District is seeking qualified applicants with skills, abilities, and willingness to provide instructional assistance (often working with orthopedically impaired children) or building duty assistance for absent paraeducators throughout the school district.

Position Hours / Days : At-Will / On-call, based on the 2024-25 SY Calendar

Position Rate of Pay : 2024-25 SY Substitute Paraeducator Rate of Pay $22.89 / Hour

Required Qualifications :

• 18 years of age or older
• High School Graduate or Equivalent (GED) - Documentation MUST be uploaded
• Ability and desire to work on a constant basis minimum 1 time a month

Note : Candidates who meet the , may also be eligible for temporary paraeducator positions and permanent paraeducator positions.

Candidates who have the following will be requested to upload the documentation to their application.

• Qualifying (ETS) paraeducator assessment scores
• 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university
• Associates degree or higher from an accredited college or University

Clearances : Criminal Justice Fingerprint / Background Clearance

• This position is screened and hired by the Substitute Services Office
• Applicants selected for this position will be contacted by Human Resources and will be required to complete the Substitute Onboarding Process, which includes Onboarding Paperwork Substitute Online Orientation Substitute Onboarding Appointment (Includes scanning of fingerprints)
