The Opportunity :

We are seeking a Privacy Program Manager to support the Legal Privacy Team of a global technology company for one year. This exciting opportunity will focus on ensuring compliance with global data privacy laws and regulations while developing and maintaining robust privacy programs.

The selected candidate will be responsible for cross-functional project management, process documentation, and operationalizing privacy controls to ensure the highest level of compliance and efficiency.

Key Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Substantial experience as a privacy program manager.
  • Relevant certifications such as CIPP / US, CIPP / E, CIPP / M, or PMP.
  • Strong understanding of privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and privacy by design principles.
  • Experience with compliance program best practices and enterprise IT systems.
  • Familiarity with privacy platforms like OneTrust or TrustArc.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience engaging both legal and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive cross-functional results.

Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with privacy counsel to develop and maintain privacy compliance programs, including process documentation and privacy controls.
  • Advise on various aspects of privacy compliance programs, such as data subject access requests (DSARs), right-to-be-forgotten (RTBF) processes, data mapping, and cookie compliance.
  • Manage the logistics of DSAR and RTBF processes, including onboarding teams, preparing report templates, and enhancing automation.
  • Monitor DSAR / RTBF processes and coordinate with technical teams to resolve issues.
  • Draft responses to player inquiries directed to the Data Protection Officer.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration on enterprise data governance initiatives.
  • Contribute to other compliance matters as needed.

Compensation & Location :

  • Annualized Salary : $100,000-$140,000, based on experience.
  • Location : Redwood City or Los Angeles, CA (onsite or hybrid, with 3 days onsite from Tuesday to Thursday).
  • Start Date : Expected start prior to mid-November.
  • Engagement Duration : 1 year
