Reporting to Radiall’s Global Sourcing Vice-President, the North America Sourcing Manager will work closely with Radiall North America plant leadership and APU operations while ensuring that Radiall global sourcing processes and procedures are consistently followed.
The job incumbent will organize, plan, supervise, as well as support and control the deployment of Sourcing strategy (including Direct Purchases, Indirect Purchases i.
e. GENEX and CAPEX, and supplier performance improvement) within the North America Zone.
All of this will be done with the objective of providing internal customers (BUs and Sites) with goods at the best Cost, Quality, Lead Time, and On-Time Delivery.
Represent Sourcing function within the assigned business scope and geographic zone. Accountable for Sourcing results for three industrial plants in support of local management and stakeholders (Autonomous Production Units, plant, zone management ) The three sites are located in Ciudad Obregon, MX;
Tualatin, OR; and Wallingford, CT
Actively participate in the definition of Sourcing strategy and targets (budget exercise) for assigned scope, taking into account existing and forthcoming needs
Promote Sourcing action plans within assigned scope to optimize cost, quality and on-time delivery of purchases
Lead and participate in supplier negotiations, either directly or in support of their team members
Promote purchase Frame Agreement deployment and partnership with strategic suppliers whenever relevant in order to secure Radiall’s desired purchase terms and conditions
Sourcing localization in North America : Supplier prospection, selection and qualification to support transfer opportunities, mitigate currency fluctuation risk, optimize logistics flows and to contribute to overall TCO improvement and lead time reduction
Close monitoring of Sourcing activity through frequent data analysis. Reporting of monthly results such as savings, Defect PPM, Supplier OTD, action plan progress / issues, and Sourcing projects key highlights
Ensure strict compliance to Sourcing processes (NDA, Tool loan agreement, Supplier Ethics charter, supplier creation, supplier qualification )
Contribute, with support of SCM experts, to pull flow deployment at suppliers and supplier load / capacity enhancement (load versus capacity analysis based on communicated forecasts)
Drive and orient supplier performance enhancement through relevant development action and audit plans aiming at excellence
Manage, train and inspire the North American Sourcing Team. Ensure completion of annual performance appraisal and individual development plans (including training).
Direct reports for this role are located in both Mexico and the United States
KNOW THE REQUIREMENTS
8 - 10 years of significant management / leadership experience in a Sourcing function in an international industrial environment (10 years) with a matrix organization.
Demonstrated experience managing remote team members
Bachelor's degree in business discipline, Masters degree is a plus
Expert level fluency in Spanish and English
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to address internal and external stakeholders
Experienced in Project Management and Change Management tools
Familiarity with Procure to Pay processes and management of interfaces with other services and functions such as Supply Chain, Legal, Engineering, and Cost Accounting
A demonstrated self-starter and ability to work independently with a high level of autonomy, integrity, and transparency
Previous experience working with an ERP materials management modules. SAP is preferred, but not mandatory
Frequent business travel expected : Mexico, USA, and Europe
